House rules
Dear Guests,
Welcome to the Silver Crown Hotel and Residence. Our hotel offers a four-star experience in the vibrant downtown of Budapest, housed in a fully renovated building designed for your comfort and relaxation. By booking a stay with us, guests acknowledge and accept the central location of our hotel.
To ensure a pleasant and memorable experience for all, we kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to the following house rules, which form an integral part of the hotel contract.
1. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
- Check-in: Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur additional charges as per the hotel contract. Guests must complete a registration form and present valid identification upon check-in. A passport or stateless person’s ID is required by law for stateless and non-EU citizens.
- Check-out: Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 AM on the day of departure, and the key card must be returned to the reception. Late check-outs may result in additional charges.
- Payment: The full cost of the stay must be settled upon arrival. In case of non-payment, the hotel reserves the right to retain the guest’s belongings and initiate legal proceedings if necessary.
- Outstanding charges: Any additional costs incurred post-checkout will be charged to the guest’s registered bank card.
2. VISITORS & OCCUPANCY
- Only registered guests are permitted in hotel rooms. Guests are responsible for their visitors and any damages they may cause.
- If the number of occupants exceeds the reservation details, an additional fee will be charged.
3. MINORS
- Children under 14 must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times. The responsible adult assumes liability for the child’s safety and any damages caused.
- Alcohol consumption by guests under 18 is strictly prohibited.
4. USE OF HOTEL FACILITIES
- Guests must use hotel facilities responsibly. Any damage resulting from improper use must be compensated before departure.
- Removal of furniture or equipment from the premises is prohibited.
- Theft or unauthorised removal of hotel property will be treated as a criminal offence and reported to authorities.
5. WI-FI USAGE
- Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for guests.
- The hotel does not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity and is not liable for any data loss or device damage.
6. PARKING
- Parking is complimentary but subject to availability and at the guest’s own risk.
7. SECURITY & SAFETY
- The hotel operates a 24-hour CCTV system in public areas for security purposes.
- In case of fire, guests must follow the posted evacuation routes and comply with emergency personnel instructions.
8. PROHIBITED ITEMS
Guests may not bring the following items into the hotel:
- Hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials
- Illegal substances
- Waste harmful to health or the environment
- Any other prohibited items unless authorised in writing by the hotel
If prohibited items are discovered, the hotel reserves the right to remove them at the guest’s expense.
9. SMOKING POLICY
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel, except in designated smoking areas.
- Violations will result in fines and penalties, which may be charged to the guest’s account.
10. HOUSEKEEPING & MAINTENANCE
- Daily cleaning: Rooms are cleaned between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Housekeeping will not enter if a “Do Not Disturb” sign is displayed.
- Towel replacement: Towels are changed only if left on the bathroom floor to promote environmental sustainability.
- Guests must report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Repairs must be conducted by hotel staff only.
11. BREAKFAST
- Breakfast is served buffet-style from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
- Removing food or drinks from the breakfast area is not permitted and may result in additional charges.
12. HEALTH & EMERGENCIES
- In case of illness, the hotel will assist in arranging medical care. However, guests accept medical assistance at their own risk.
- If a guest contracts an infectious disease, the hotel reserves the right to terminate the accommodation contract immediately without a refund.
- In the event of a guest’s death, related expenses, including medical and procedural costs, will be charged to their relatives or estate.
13. DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR
- Noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 10:00 PM.
- Disruptive behaviour, including harassment or intimidation, is strictly prohibited.
- Guests who fail to comply after repeated warnings may be fined and/or expelled from the hotel without a refund.
14. LOST & FOUND
- Lost items will be registered at the reception and stored for one month. Perishable items will be disposed of immediately.
- Guests must provide identification to claim lost belongings.
15. LIABILITY & DAMAGES
- The hotel is not liable for damages to guests’ belongings unless they are stored in the in-room safe.
- The hotel’s liability is limited to fifty times the daily room rate for any damages incurred.
- The hotel assumes no responsibility for accidents caused by improper use of its facilities.
16. DATA PROTECTION
- The hotel will not disclose guest information to third parties without prior written consent, except when required by law.
17. LANGUAGE CLAUSE
- In the event of discrepancies between different language versions of the house rules, the Hungarian version shall prevail.
